Welcome to the 2017 ARTH 488A Digital Portrait Basket! Following the premise of the popular Food Network show, “Chopped,” this Omeka website serves as a "basket" into which members of our class will deposit entries for ancient portraits throughout the semester.

In addition to serving as a useful repository of important information, this basket also provides the basis for each class member's final project: the design of a museum exhibition (a "tasty meal"!) using selected portraits found herein.
